Out 6th year of Upward Basketball is coming to a close. The season has been a great experience for children and parents alike. This weekend will be the final games for the season. We will end the season with an exciting awards night on with Robyn Rodgers Slain. Robyn captivates her audience with her spectacular dribbling and spinning demonstrations. Come join us for this season finale celebration!

Can you imagine how excited you would be if you got a call from your cable provider that said. “Mr. or Mrs. Smith you have been randomly selected from our database to be offered “Free satellite for life” No gimmicks, no catches, just free TV.” Wow, what would your response be? Here some person out of the generosity of their company is going to transmit free TV from some satellite way out in orbit for you… well of course you would say YES, who wouldn’t.

But back to reality….That is not going to happen.

But, there is someone out there offering you a free gift for eternity, no gimmicks, no catches. You just have to accept and you will have blessings, health & love for all of eternity. You don’t need to go home and clean the house first or pay off those bills or do any grand thing.

You cannot see that satellite… but its there, transmitting shows into your TV…You cannot see God but He is there…transmitting Love & forgiveness to you, but just like TV, we have the choice to block what comes in…Are you blocking all of the blessings that God has for you. Is His transmission coming down but not getting in? If so then there is a very simple thing to do.

1. Acknowledge that God is Real...that Jesus Christ is His son, and that He died on the cross for your sin and then rose three days later, so that you may live eternally.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
2. Confess your sins…We all have them, and we need to be forgiven for them, no matter how bad they are..
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
3. Ask Jesus into your heart and make you a new person. To wash away the old you and to baptize you with his Holy Spirit so that you may become a new man or woman.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
4. Acknowledge that you are a son or daughter of the most high God. Let Him lead you, read your bible and attend a bible based church. Remember to Pray.. Pray.. Pray.. Take everything before God, let Him lead you in everything…
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Luke 7:50 And He said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
